Frequently Asked Questions

How many cards does it hold?

6 cards total, 3 full-length slots per side. Most customers carry 4–6 cards plus folded cash comfortably. The wallet sits at 0.2" empty and 0.4" with 6 cards.

Does the leather scratch easily?

Full-grain veg-tan leather shows minor surface scratches initially, but they buff out with a finger. Over time scratches contribute to the patina rather than detracting from it — unlike coated leathers where scratches expose bare material.

How long will it last?

With basic annual conditioning, a full-grain vegetable-tanned leather wallet typically lasts 10–20 years or more. It is saddle-stitched (not machine-stitched), so a single stitch failing does not unravel the seam.

What's the difference between full-grain and genuine leather?

Full-grain uses the entire outer hide layer — the strongest, densest, most durable part. “Genuine leather” is a marketing term that often describes lower-grade split leather or bonded scraps. Full-grain is the highest grade; the surface is not sanded or buffed.

How do I break it in?

Carry it daily. The leather softens and conforms to your specific card load within 2–3 weeks. Apply Leather Honey or Bick 4 on day one to accelerate the process and add moisture from the start.
